Humayun Saeed Reveals the Pain Behind His Charity Work

One of Pakistan’s biggest stars, Humayun Saeed, is known for his acting and his kindness. But not many people know the real story behind why he is so dedicated to charity. In a recent interview on the Lunch with Lillas podcast, Humayun opened up about a heartbreaking chapter from his past that shaped the man he is today.

Humayun Saeed said, “I do a lot of philanthropic work because I have seen bad times before joining showbiz. I have been working since I was 15. We saw struggles because my younger brother fell down and became paralyzed.”

Saeed shared that his parents became mentally and physically disturbed following his brother’s sickness. He used to think about how people afford treatments because he had searched for countless ways for free treatments.

He added, “I struggled financially during my brother’s sickness, but when Allah gave me, it was time to return. So, now I do whatever is possible for me.”

Humayun has been associated with Indus Hospital and various other welfare causes over the years. He said he prefers to support organizations already doing good work rather than starting his own, because he finds it difficult to ask others for money.

His story is a powerful reminder that behind every act of generosity is often a personal pain. Humayun Saeed’s charity comes not from abundance alone, but from lived experience and deep empathy.
