“Meri Maryam Nawaz se Darkhwast Hai Ke Mera Danish Schools Mein Dakhla Karwadien Take Mein Apni Family Ko Support Karon”: Aina Wazir

A young cricket talent from North Waziristan, Aina Wazir, has gone viral with an emotional appeal to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for admission to Danish Schools. In a heartfelt video shared on social media around mid-February 2026, the 10-year-old fast bowler said: “Meri Maryam Nawaz se darkhwast hai ke mera Danish Schools mein dakhla karwadien take mein apni family ko support karoon”.

Aina rose to fame when her impressive bowling videos from local matches went viral, showcasing her pace and control despite playing with boys in her village. Peshawar Zalmi Chairman Javed Afridi quickly spotted her potential and signed her for the upcoming Zalmi Women League.

He promised full cricket training, gear, and facilities to help her become the next big star, comparing her to trailblazer Saira Jabeen. Aina, daughter of a martyr, expressed gratitude to Afridi and supporters for the opportunity.

Now, Aina is seeking a better education to balance her cricket dreams with family responsibilities. She mentioned no good schools in her remote area in South/North Waziristan, hoping that Danish Schools, known for free quality education, boarding, meals, and support for deserving low-income children, can change her life. Danish Schools, run by the Punjab government, focus on uplifting talented students from underprivileged backgrounds through merit-based admissions.

The video, posted with her cousin, drew massive support online. Fans urged the CM to help, with comments like “This girl deserves every chance” and “Maryam Nawaz should respond to such inspiring cases.” Many highlighted the need for education access in tribal areas and praised Aina’s determination.

While no official response from the CM office has been reported yet, Aina’s story inspires hope for young girls in sports and education. Her journey from viral bowler to education seeker shows how talent and hard work can open doors, even in challenging circumstances.
