Chadhar had posted on social media after a Lahore court hearing, saying that the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) had ruled in his favour and that the case had ended with a favourable decision. However, Habib disputed the claim and asked Chadhar to publicly share the official NCCIA notice if he had actually been declared not guilty.

Habib said the agency had instead ordered a fresh investigation after new digital evidence emerged. The NCCIA has issued fresh notices to both Momina Iqbal and Saqib Chadhar and formed a special team to review the new evidence and earlier records. The team has been given one month to complete its inquiry.

The case has seen changing developments in recent months. In July, an NCCIA official told a Lahore court that an earlier investigation had found Chadhar guilty of the allegations. The latest investigation has now changed the situation, with authorities saying further findings will determine the next legal steps.

For now, both sides have presented different accounts of the latest proceedings, while the fresh NCCIA investigation remains underway.
