The legendary Sufi singer, whose voice has become synonymous with spiritual music in Pakistan, received the award for her remarkable contribution to culture, poetry and the arts.
Known around the world for her soulful renditions and powerful stage presence, Abida Parveen has spent decades bringing Sufi poetry to mainstream audiences. Her performances of verses by Bulleh Shah, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and other revered mystic poets have earned her immense respect both at home and abroad.
