Journalist Mubashir Hashmi Honored with Visit to Top Floor of Clock Tower in Kaaba

Pakistani journalist Mubashir Hashmi was given a rare and special honor during his recent visit to Makkah when he was allowed access to the top floor of the Abraj Al Bait Clock Tower, located next to the Holy Kaaba. This privilege is not commonly granted and is usually reserved for special guests, scholars, or individuals connected with religious or official work.

Mubashir Hashmi shared moments from his visit, expressing gratitude and humility for being able to witness one of the most sacred places in Islam from such a unique viewpoint. From the top of the clock tower, the entire Masjid al Haram can be seen clearly, including the Kaaba, thousands of worshippers, and the peaceful movement of pilgrims performing Tawaf.

The Abraj Al Bait Clock Tower is one of the tallest buildings in the world and holds great religious and symbolic value. Its clock faces are visible from miles away and help guide prayer times for worshippers in and around the mosque. Access to its upper levels is tightly controlled due to security and religious sensitivity.

Mubashir Hashmi described the experience as deeply spiritual and emotional. He said the visit strengthened his faith and reminded him of the unity of Muslims from all over the world who gather in Makkah for worship.

Many people on social media congratulated him and appreciated the respectful way he shared the experience. The moment was seen as a reminder that faith, gratitude, and humility matter more than status, and that such blessings are truly special.
