Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt has announced he will present his side of the story with evidence in a video scheduled for 7:07 PM today, declaring “Today is my day! Meri kahani, meri zubani with all proofs.” The announcement comes amid mounting controversies that have engulfed the popular content creator over recent months.
Butt has been under scrutiny over blasphemy-related allegations since earlier this year after launching a perfume branded “295”, a reference to Section 295 of Pakistan’s blasphemy law, which triggered backlash and accusations that the branding mocked the law. An FIR was registered against him under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and Section 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code.
On December 29, Butt was physically assaulted at a sessions court in Karachi during a hearing, with the attack carried out by lawyers who alleged he had made derogatory remarks against them in a previous vlog. The incident left him with a torn shirt and bloodied mouth, further intensifying the drama surrounding his legal battles.
Butt also faces charges from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency for allegedly promoting gambling and betting applications through social media, causing financial losses for users. Additionally, he was recently deported from the UK after his visa was cancelled.
His upcoming video, promising to present his narrative with complete evidence, suggests he plans to address these controversies directly. The specific timing of 7:07 PM has generated anticipation among his 7.74 million YouTube subscribers, who are waiting to hear his defense against the multiple allegations that have threatened his career and freedom.
