“Khamenei Is Back”: Iranian Media Release Animated W@r Video

As the war between the United States, Israel, and Iran enters its third week, Iranian state media has released a striking animated video titled “Khamenei Is Back”, sending a bold and defiant message to the world that Iran is not broken and will not back down.

Iranian media released an anime-style animated video said to depict the final moments of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei before his assassination. The approximately two minute and forty-five second video opens with an emotional scene showing Khamenei depicted alongside a child.

Moments later, a massive explosion occurs, and an entire building is reduced to rubble. The video then builds into a powerful message of resistance, revenge, and national unity.

In one section of the video, Donald Trump is shown speaking on a phone but receiving no response. The animation then displays the words “Khamenei Is Back” while Trump is portrayed looking anxious and worried. The message is clear, Iran wants the world to know that even after the killing of their Supreme Leader, the spirit of resistance lives on.

The background to this video is deeply serious. In early March 2026, US and Israeli forces carried out strikes on Iran that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Following his death, the 88-member Assembly of Experts approved his son Mojtaba Khamenei, 56, as the new Supreme Leader.

The new Supreme Leader vowed to avenge all those killed in the war, including victims of a strike on a school that killed over 165 people, and signalled a willingness to continue the conflict that has already severely disrupted global energy supplies and displaced millions of Iranians.

In his first public statement, Mojtaba Khamenei called for continued military resistance and said the Strait of Hormuz should remain a tool of pressure against the US and Israel.

The animated video has gone massively viral across social media worldwide, with millions watching, sharing and reacting. For Iran, it is not just a video. It is a declaration that no matter what happens, their spirit cannot be bombed into silence.
