Atif Aslam revealed he first met Sara at a wedding event, and waited before making contact. He said, “I spotted her at a wedding. She looked beautiful standing among other girls and having travelled the world and seen so many girls, she was the first one I wanted to talk to.” He added, “We got married after being together for seven years.”
After the consent of their parents, the long-time couple finally got hitched on March 29, 2013, in a traditional and extravagant wedding in Lahore.
