Actress Naeema Butt, who won massive praise for her role as Rubab in the blockbuster drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, has made some shocking and brave revelations about her experience in the Pakistani entertainment industry. She openly spoke about how the atmosphere changed after her character became a fan favorite.
In a refreshingly candid interview with Vasay Chaudhry, Naeema opened up about the superficial friendships in the entertainment industry and subtly called out her Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum co-stars for appearing friendly on social media while behaving differently off-camera.
She revealed that much of the camaraderie audiences see between actors online isn’t as genuine as it seems. “I have seen that people are just being fake friends for Instagram, or at least that is what my experience was regarding the industry’s inner working,” she said.
Naeema revealed that on-camera everything seemed great, but once the camera was turned off, they wouldn’t even allow her to be on stage at events.
Naeema said she was surprised by the lack of support from her co-stars and producers, adding: “I never imagined I would be left alone and sidelined during such a crucial time.”
Naeema Butt, born 11 July 1990, is a Pakistani actress known for playing Ghazala Habib in Ehd-e-Wafa and Rubab Mansoor Khan in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. Her courage in speaking out about industry politics has earned her even more respect from fans.
