Aag Lagay Basti Mein Set to Become Fahad Mustafa’s First Solo Lead Film to Hit 50 Crore Mark

Fahad Mustafa’s Eid ul Fitr 2026 blockbuster Aag Lagay Basti Mein has taken Pakistani cinema by storm, rapidly approaching the historic 50 crore mark and is poised to become his first solo-lead film to achieve this massive milestone.

Aag Lagay Basti Mein is a Pakistani Urdu comedy-crime drama released on March 21, 2026, starring Fahad Mustafa as Barkat and Mahira Khan as Almaas. Written and directed by Bilal Atif Khan in his feature debut, the film follows a hard-working but financially strained couple who turn to petty crime in a desperate bid for a better life, only to spiral into hilarious chaos, unexpected alliances, and high-stakes adventures.

In Pakistan, the film grossed 16.2 crore in its opening weekend, breaking the record previously set by Avengers: Endgame in 2019. Reports of sold-out shows came in from multiple cities, with cinemas adding extra shows to accommodate the rush.

The crime-comedy earned around Rs4.59 crore in North America alone on its opening weekend, massively outperforming all other Pakistani films releasing simultaneously.

Trade analysts have officially declared Aag Lagay Basti Mein a super hit, having already recovered its entire production budget within the very first weekend. The film is targeting a lifetime global gross of over PKR 80 crore.

Tabish Hashmi’s hilarious yet menacing turn and Javed Sheikh’s authoritative presence elevate every scene they are in, while Fahad Mustafa’s comic timing and Mahira Khan’s electric chemistry make it a genuinely relatable, crowd-pleasing entertainer.
