Pakistani actress and singer Ayesha Omar has always been candid about her personal life choices, and her evolving stance on marriage continues to intrigue fans. The Bulbulay star has shared varying perspectives on matrimony throughout her career, reflecting a journey of self-discovery and healing.
In recent interviews, Omar revealed she is now ready for marriage, stating “Shaadi ka plan hai ab, because now I want to be a mother, I am ready. Maine apne aap ko heal kar liya hai pichle 3-4 saalon mein” (I’ve healed myself over the past 3-4 years). This marked a significant shift from her earlier reluctance toward marriage.
However, the 42-year-old actress has been clear about prioritizing her professional success and personal growth before taking the plunge. She previously emphasized that marriage wasn’t merely about finding a partner but about being emotionally and mentally prepared for such a commitment.
Ayesha has also outlined her post-marriage plans, revealing she intends to take a decade-long break from acting to focus on motherhood. She explained, “I will not stop acting because of my husband but for my baby after I give birth. I don’t want to work for the first 10 years”, though she plans to continue singing and painting during this period.
The actress’s journey hasn’t been easy. She has openly discussed surviving an abusive relationship with her ex-fiancé, from which she eventually walked away after enduring physical assault. This traumatic experience shaped her perspective on relationships and the importance of emotional healing before marriage.
Additionally, Ayesha has faced intense public scrutiny, including false rumors linking her romantically to cricketer Shoaib Malik, which caused her significant distress and panic attacks.
Despite these challenges, she has emerged stronger, focusing on her successful career, recently launched clothing line, and preparing herself for the next chapter of life on her own terms.
