Veteran Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor recently opened up about his early career journey, revealing just how difficult it was to break into the entertainment industry before social media existed. In a candid YouTube interview, he reflected honestly on the challenges he faced and the hard work it took to get noticed.
“When I started, there was no Instagram and no Facebook. I don’t think Facebook even existed at that time, or it had just begun. There were no reels, and I remember YouTube was not there either. So we really had to go through the actual struggle,” he said.
He described the process as entirely physical and personal: “We had to go to every production house ourselves, visit different places, and submit our DVDs personally. We had to tell them that we also had talent and could work.”
Danish’s comments come at a time when many aspiring artists rely heavily on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts to get discovered. His words serve as a reminder that today’s shortcuts didn’t exist for earlier generations of entertainers.
Despite the harder path, Danish built a long and successful career in Pakistani television. His story is an inspiring one, proof that real talent, persistence, and personal effort can still open doors, with or without a viral moment to launch you forward.
