Digital Content Creator of the Year by the Lux Style Awards goes to Ron and Coco

Pakistani content creators Rehan Nazim and Rabya Kulsoom, known by their popular online name “Ron and Coco,” won the Digital Content Creator of the Year award at the 24th Lux Style Awards held in Karachi on December 11, 2025. This marks a historic moment as the awards introduced a digital content creation category.

The couple has become one of Pakistan’s most beloved content creator duos, entertaining millions with their relatable comedy sketches about everyday life. Their content focuses on the funny side of desi culture, particularly capturing the unique dynamics of Pakistani households and relationships. Their most popular videos showcase the classic communication gaps between desi mothers and children, husband-wife interactions, and other situations that resonate deeply with Pakistani audiences.

Ron and Coco have built a massive following across social media platforms. On TikTok alone, they have over 254,000 followers and more than 6.7 million likes on their videos. Their authentic portrayal of cultural experiences has struck a chord with viewers both in Pakistan and among the diaspora worldwide.

The Lux Style Awards, organized by Unilever Pakistan, are considered the most prestigious entertainment awards ceremony in Pakistan. The event has been held annually since 2002, celebrating excellence in television, film, fashion, and music. This year’s awards were particularly special as they marked the first physical ceremony since 2020, after several years of disruptions due to the Covid-19 pandemic and other challenges.

According to Samir Sultan, General Manager of Personal Care at Unilever Pakistan, the new digital content creator category was introduced to acknowledge the growing impact of online creators on Pakistan’s creative economy. He emphasized that content creators play a vital role in shaping the future of storytelling and entertainment in the country. The category reflects how digital platforms have transformed Pakistan’s entertainment landscape, with social media influencers now commanding audiences comparable to traditional television stars.

Ron and Coco competed against other prominent Pakistani digital creators, including Zulqarnain Sikandar, Aidah Sheikh, Dr. Zee Khan, Hemayal, Zainab Raza, and Ansab Jahangir. Their victory demonstrates the power of authentic, culturally rooted content that connects with audiences on a personal level.

The couple’s success story represents the democratization of entertainment in Pakistan. Unlike traditional celebrities who often come from specific backgrounds or industries, Ron and Coco built their following purely through consistent, quality content that made people laugh and feel understood. Their comedic timing and ability to blend humor with cultural insights have solidified their position as pioneers in Pakistan’s digital entertainment space.

Their win at the Lux Style Awards validates the hard work of countless digital creators across Pakistan who are building careers outside traditional media channels.
