The whirlwind romance between clinical psychologist Dr Nabiha Ali Khan and social media influencer Haris Khokhar has ended in heartbreak and controversy just two months after their highly publicized wedding, with explosive allegations of domestic abuse now dominating headlines across Pakistan.
In an emotional appearance on the Ramadan transmission “Noor-e-Ramzan,” Dr. Nabiha alleged that the marriage was a grave mistake, claiming she faced mental torture, constant accusations, restrictions, and humiliation from her husband and in-laws. Host Fiza Ali was seen comforting the teary-eyed psychologist as she shared her devastating ordeal.
Dr Nabiha alleged that her husband himself admitted he married her not out of love but for the pursuit of fame, planning to later discredit and publicly shame her by claiming she could not sustain a marriage. She described life as constant anxiety, saying she couldn’t even close her bedroom door or eat peacefully with her husband without suspicion.
She claimed she could not close her bedroom door, received no permission to eat peacefully with her husband, and faced suspicion in every interaction. Haris Khokhar proved her wrong to humiliate her and leveled serious allegations against her.
However, Haris Khokhar has strongly denied these accusations. In a video statement, Khokhar claimed that Dr. Nabiha is suffering from “doubt and delusion,” insisting there were no serious disputes and that he was happier with her than at home. He explained that when he started a new business, Dr Nabiha insisted on accompanying him everywhere, which he deemed inappropriate for professional meetings.
Haris stated he was happier with her than at home and revealed that whenever he prepared to leave for work, Dr. Nabiha suspected he was going elsewhere. He firmly denied any wrongdoing, maintaining his wife remained trapped in mistrust.
The couple’s November 2025 wedding had been a social media sensation, with their Nikkah solemnized by Maulana Tariq Jamil. Now, just months later, the relationship lies in ruins amid conflicting narratives that have divided public opinion across Pakistan’s social media landscape.
