The ongoing controversy surrounding psychologist and TV personality Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan escalated dramatically after a leaked audio clip surfaced, alleging her emotional appearance on Fizza Ali‘s Ramzan transmission was a pre-planned stunt for ratings (TRP).
Dr. Nabiha appeared on Fizza Ali’s show during Ramadan, tearfully accusing her husband, Haris Khokhar, of mental torture, humiliation, restrictions, and threats like “I won’t let you run!” She claimed the two-month marriage was a “mistake,” involving in-law interference and emotional abuse that left her distressed and forced to leave home.
The episode went viral, with Fizza Ali’s dramatic crying and hugs drawing sympathy. However, a leaked behind-the-scenes audio, circulating on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, allegedly captures Fizza Ali and team laughing and casually discussing the segment during a break. Social media users and critics labeled it proof of staged drama for views, with comments like “TRP ke liye kuch bhi” (anything for ratings) and calls to boycott such shows in the holy month.
Haris Khokhar denied the allegations in a video response, calling them “personal differences” rooted in mistrust, and accused the show of exploiting family matters for publicity. He insisted no serious abuse occurred and urged private resolution. Dr. Nabiha has not directly addressed the audio leak yet.
The scandal has divided opinion: supporters see it as genuine pain, while detractors criticize the show for turning sensitive issues into entertainment, disrespecting Ramadan’s sanctity. Bilal Qureshi and Mishi Khan previously slammed similar “cringe” content for prioritizing money over morality.
This case raises questions about ethics in Ramzan transmissions, balancing awareness of domestic violence with authenticity and respect during a sacred time. The truth remains contested amid heated online debates.
