Hania Aamir Calls Out “This vs That” Fashion Posts, Says Two Women Can Wear the Same Outfit in Peace

Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has always been loved for her honesty and her willingness to speak up about things that matter, and this time she has said something that thousands of women across social media needed to hear.

The actress recently took to her Instagram stories to call out a very common but deeply problematic trend on the internet, the so-called “This vs That” posts. These are posts that take two women wearing the same outfit and pit them against each other, asking followers to vote for who wore it better. What seems like harmless fashion content on the surface is actually something far more damaging.

Hania Aamir shared the post and responded to it with a message full of warmth and wisdom. She wrote: “I say this with love for humanity. I’ve always found these posts so strange. We seem to find some sort of peace in putting women down and some strange satisfaction in pitting them against one another. I mean girl, what do you mean ‘this or that’? It’s the same outfit. Maybe we can let two women wear the same outfit in peace.”

Her words hit a nerve, in the best possible way. Thousands of fans immediately agreed, flooding the comments with support. People called her response classy, mature and exactly the kind of message that needed to be said out loud.

The truth is, these “Who Wore It Better” posts have been normalising the habit of comparing women’s bodies, styles and appearances for years. They create unnecessary rivalry between women who have done absolutely nothing wrong except wear something they liked.

Hania Aamir used her platform to remind everyone that women are not in competition with each other, and two women can absolutely wear the same beautiful outfit, both look stunning, and both deserve to be celebrated. No comparison needed.
