“Humne Umer Ko Kaha Tha Agly Saal Bulayein Gye Per Nahi Bula Sake”, Waseem Badami Gets Emotional While Remembering Late Umer Shah

Popular TV host Waseem Badami became emotional during the premiere of Shan-e-Ramzan 2026 on ARY Digital, as he fondly remembered the late child star Umer Shah. In a heartfelt segment shared across Instagram, YouTube, and social media on February 18, 2026, Waseem broke down while recalling his final moments with Umer.

He shared a poignant memory: “Humne Umer ko kaha tha agly saal bulayein gye per nahi bula sake”, meaning “We told Umer we’d call him next year, but we couldn’t bring him.” The words highlight the deep bond they shared during past Ramzan transmissions, where Umer’s innocent charm, poems, and smiles lit up the show alongside his brother Ahmed Shah.

Umer tragically passed away on September 15, 2025, at age 15 from cardiac arrest after vomiting caused fluid to enter his lungs and block airways. Waseem, who was in touch with doctors at the time, had previously offered condolences and kept Umer’s memory alive in tributes. During this Ramzan premiere, he revisited old clips, noting how Umer cried for the first time in their last episode together, and requested prayers for Umer’s family, especially his mother, asking viewers to keep them in duas.

The emotional clip went viral quickly, with fans commenting “This hurts so much,” and “Umer’s absence is felt deeply.” Many said Shan-e-Ramzan won’t feel the same without the little boy’s joyful presence. Waseem’s tears and words show the genuine love he had for Umer, turning the transmission into a moment of remembrance and healing.

As the holy month continues, this tribute reminds everyone of life’s fragility and the lasting impact of kind souls like Umer Shah. May Allah grant him Jannah and sabr to his loved ones.
