Sannia Ashfaq, the former wife of Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim, has made explosive accusations in a series of Instagram posts following his announcement of a second marriage to influencer Nyla Raja on 16th February 2026.
In her emotional statement, Sannia claimed: “In December 2023, he got my child aborted in Lahore. He’s a murderer, and I have a video that proves it.” She also labeled Imad a “cheater” and urged a boycott of Islamabad United, the PSL franchise that recently signed him, saying “no cheater or murderer should get an escape.”
The allegations come just two months after Imad confirmed his divorce from Sannia in December 2025, citing unresolved conflicts. Sannia accused him of infidelity, emotional torment, mistreatment, and abandonment during her pregnancy. She described enduring hardship for the sake of their children and the family’s dignity, but claimed a “third party” (implying Nyla) ultimately broke their marriage.
What makes this even more striking is that Sannia had long been suspicious of Imad’s behavior. As far back as mid-2025, she publicly hinted at cheating and a “third party” involvement when rumors first surfaced about Imad and Nyla being spotted together in London, while Sannia was reportedly pregnant with their third child.
Imad denied those early claims, calling them misinterpretations of fan interactions. Now, with his quick remarriage to the same woman, Sannia’s previous allegations appear validated in the eyes of many supporters, intensifying the backlash.
Imad responded by expressing remorse for past mistakes without directly addressing the abortion claim, while defending Nyla and emphasizing his commitment to his children. The controversy has divided fans: some demand accountability and question his PSL role, while others call for privacy in personal matters.
This saga highlights the painful fallout of celebrity divorces in Pakistan, where public scrutiny often amplifies family wounds. Sannia’s raw post, backed by her claim of video evidence, has kept the debate raging, raising serious questions about trust, responsibility, and the impact on children caught in such storms.
