Popular Pakistani actor, host, and producer Fahad Mustafa recently shared a funny and humble reflection on his life choices in a viral interview clip (widely circulated in September 2024 and resurfaced in 2026). He said, “Main actor nahi hota to mujhe mere abba biryani ki dukan khol kar dene walay thay”, meaning “If I hadn’t become an actor, my father would have opened a biryani shop for me.”
Fahad explained the story with a laugh: His father was so impressed by the biryani business after meeting a friend in the trade that he seriously considered setting up a shop or restaurant for his son as a stable career option.
This came up when Fahad was young and still finding his path. Thankfully, acting worked out, he became one of Pakistan’s biggest stars through dramas like Na Maloom Afraad, Actor in Law, and hosting the mega-hit game show Jeeto Pakistan.
The light-hearted remark shows Fahad’s grounded roots and family support. He often credits his parents for his success, highlighting how they encouraged him but had practical backup plans. Fans loved the honesty, comments flooded in with “Humble king!” and “Biryani shop owner Fahad would still be a star in our hearts.”
His father, senior actor Salahuddin Tunio, later clarified he never actually planned a biryani stall, but the joke stuck because it shows Fahad’s appreciation for hard work beyond fame. In an industry full of glamour, Fahad’s words remind everyone that success is built on family love, effort, and a bit of humor.
This quote went viral again recently, proving Fahad’s charm lies in staying relatable, no matter how big he gets.
