In the midst of intense public scrutiny surrounding her two-month marriage, clinical psychologist Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan has emphasized that she never intended to malign anyone but simply shared her truth, insisting she still loves and values her husband, Haris Khokhar, despite their difficulties.
The statement comes after Dr. Nabiha made explosive allegations on Fiza Ali’s Ramzan transmission “Noor-e-Ramzan,” where she broke down describing mental torture, restrictions, and humiliation allegedly faced at the hands of her husband and in-laws.
She alleged that her husband himself admitted that he married her not out of love but for the pursuit of fame, planning to later discredit and publicly shame her by claiming she could not sustain a marriage.
According to her, Haris Khokhar follows the words of his parents and behaves badly with them. Dr. Nabiha raised the question of why she was included in this marriage if the family already approved of another relationship.
Out of love for her husband, she served her mother-in-law day and night, did all the household chores, and also reduced her professional engagements so that she could devote time to married life.
However, despite the serious allegations, Dr. Nabiha has reportedly maintained that her intention was never to speak ill of anyone but to share her painful experiences truthfully. She emphasized that she deeply loves her husband and values him, which is why she tried so hard to make the marriage work through relentless service and sacrifice.
She described feeling used, saying that her husband treated her as a temporary possession, stamped his name on her life, and discarded her without remorse. The emotional toll turned her home into a place of constant anxiety, affecting her health severely.
Meanwhile, Haris Khokhar has categorically denied all allegations. In a video statement, Khokhar said his wife was suffering from “doubt and suspicion”, which he described as a condition with “no cure”. He maintained that there had been no serious disputes between them and claimed she had been happier with him than in her parental home.
The public dispute has divided opinion, with some supporting Dr. Nabiha’s courage in speaking out, while others criticize both parties for airing private matters publicly. The couple’s high-profile November 2025 wedding, solemnized by Maulana Tariq Jameel, has now become a cautionary tale about the challenges of social media marriages.
