My Children and I Do Not Celebrate in Any Special Way with Santa Claus or a Christmas Tree, I Only Attend My Wife’s Celebrations”: Hassan Ahmed

Pakistani actor Hassan Ahmed has opened up about his approach to Christmas celebrations, explaining how he balances his Muslim faith with respect for his Christian wife’s traditions. The popular television star shared his views during a recent appearance on Nadia Khan’s morning show Rise and Shine.

Hassan, who is married to famous model and actress Sunita Marshall from Pakistan’s Christian community, clarified that he does not personally celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday. He emphasized that his family avoids any activities associated with Santa Claus celebrations or putting up Christmas trees, as these are not part of Islamic tradition.

However, Hassan participates in his wife’s family gatherings out of love and respect. Every year, Sunita’s aunt Angie Marshall organizes a Christmas party and invites all relatives. Hassan explained that he attends these celebrations as a way to bond with his family rather than as a religious observance.

The actor made it clear that when they participate in these gatherings, they are not performing any religious rituals. He stated that since they are Muslims, his entire family draws their own line within their faith while respecting the occasion.

Hassan and Sunita have built their marriage on mutual understanding and respect for each other’s religious values. They are raising their two children with an awareness of both faiths, allowing them to develop their own identities while maintaining clear boundaries about their Muslim beliefs.

The couple’s approach to inter-religious marriage has earned them praise from fans and industry peers. Many see their open-mindedness as a positive example of acceptance and coexistence in Pakistani society.

Hassan’s comments come during Christmas celebrations in Pakistan’s Christian community and have sparked important conversations about diversity, inclusion, and religious respect. His balanced approach demonstrates how families can honor different traditions without compromising their core beliefs.
