A Pakistani woman, Naseem Akhtar, has achieved something truly extraordinary by completing the world’s first fully hand-stitched Holy Quran. This unique project took her 32 years to finish.
The entire Quran is made from cotton cloth, weighs around 60 kilograms, and includes beautiful gold embroidery. Each chapter has its own cover page with a silk border, while every verse is stitched carefully using bright green thread.
Naseem worked on this project completely by hand and did not use any machines at any stage. She completed every stitch herself, showing great patience, skill, and dedication.
Throughout these 32 years, she stayed in a state of Wudu (ablution) while working, treating the project as both a spiritual duty and a form of worship. Her commitment reflects deep love and respect for the Holy Quran.
Her incredible creation has received praise and recognition from around the world. She was invited to Saudi Arabia by officials who admired her devotion and craftsmanship.
Today, her hand-stitched Quran is displayed at The Holy Quran Exhibition in Madina. Visitors can see it near Gate 5 of Masjid al Nabawi, where it has become a major attraction for people who want to witness this one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
