The Rajab Butt and Emaan Fatima divorce saga keeps getting more complicated with every passing day. Just when people thought the story could not get any more intense, Rajab Butt has now spoken out about a completely new angle: the leaking of his friends’ personal information.
In a statement that has now gone viral, Rajab Butt said clearly: “Main chahun to Emaan par defamation case bhi kar sakta hoon kyun ke us ne jo talaq ke papers story mein lagaye, us mein mere doston ki personal information leak hui — lekin filhal mera aisa koi irada nahi.”
The divorce notice itself stated that the couple married on 3 December 2023, and that after initially living together peacefully, they developed big differences and incompatibility, leading to frequent disputes. Family members and friends had attempted reconciliation, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.
Rajab also admitted that responding to questions about his marriage directly on social media was a wrong decision, and acknowledged that the issue should have been handled through proper legal and Islamic channels from the very beginning instead of becoming a public spectacle.
Emaan, on the other hand, has remained emotionally firm. She wrote that she stayed silent to save the relationship, but after false allegations in a podcast and then the legal notice, she questioned what fault she or her son had in all of this.
Public sympathy continues to remain firmly with Emaan and baby Keyvan Sultan. Most people feel that threatening a defamation case, even informally, against a woman who has just received divorce papers, is yet another example of deflecting responsibility rather than showing accountability.
